So....Bayston light at scales after time trials at Wednesday at the Nationals.  After all the lip service on Twitter by Kevin over the accident Sammy had, calling out Ms Hill, wondering who will take the blame on this deal. Sorry guys, I'm usually not a stir the pot guy and tend to think things out rationally, but there is a slightly devious side to me that couldn't resist bringing this up. Karma maybe?  Feel bad for Bayston though.

They gave themselves a long row to hoe this week.   I like how you stir the pot, but say your not a pot stirrer! wink

I'm usually not a pot stirrer, I try to be rational and look at all sides. But every once in awhile, a quick, respectful stir of the pot seems to make one feel younger, wink. And you are right, they now have a long, long row to hoe. If they sniff the A on Saturday young Mr Bayston with have turned many a head.

if the 9 lb you heard is correct (I'm following along on Twitter...wish I was there) that is astonishing. Nobody would be that blatant. I'm guessing someone's abacus wasn't working correctly. I will state though, on Twitter Kevin Swindell accepted full responsibilit...I'll give him an atta boy for that.

I wouldn't want to be the person that made that calculation. Well I guess Kevin just did.

Two tweets from Kevin Swindell right after scales, sounds like it was just close and between variables (scale will never be exact same, fuel left in tank, tiny things) it just missed. Doubt any car ever intentionally tries to be underweight when you know you'll be teched. Highly doubt it's intentional.

"Same exact everything made weight Sunday. Not sure what changed." "Nobody to blame but myself. We haven't been anywhere close on weight all year but I guess I should have triple checked. We'll put it in Fri."

Also, meant to include this in first post, C Wanner in the 85 car also was underweight. So it happens.

Why did they park the car the rest of the night after TT's?

Guess Kevin Swindell thinks he's Harry Hogge when it comes to crew chiefing. (Hogge used illegal thinwall tubing to save weight)

As in FridaySmile Yeah, they'll be running Friday.

But I'm guessing you mean tonight for some reason?  Any idea why?  Did they contest the ruling?  That said you only post when it's to defend a Swindell, right?  That's seriously not a knock, you're obviously a fan and entitled to do that (both only post when it's about a Swindell and to defend a Swindell), just checking.  Again, totally your perogative to do so, just seeing if you actually have knowledge of the situation or if you're simply diffusing it.

They have just announced it was the scales that was the problem. They are letting them run again tonight.

From the Knoxville Facebook page:

"Following last night's Brandt Professional Agriculture qualifying night, we discovered that we had a diagnostic issue with our scales. Both drivers who were disqualified for not making weight have been contacted and offered the chance to race tonight.

Our officials worked until 2am this morning to diagnose and fix the problem. The issue was discovered this morning, repaired and the scales have been recertified.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and to the two teams for their understanding as we fixed this problem as quickly as we could."

You called it dude...

If it was off why the heck did only 2 cars not make weight and why weren't weights like all over the place.  Weird...that's not sarcastic at all, seriously curious why if it wasn't calibrated right that only 2 of 48 cars registered light.  They got it figured out is the important thing.

Guess Swindell was 100% in the right, but the bashers will just be silent now that it was Knoxvilles fault at least Knoxville apologized and they will get to run the show tonight, good luck to them.
