He was high. 14 car never hit him, the kid runs out of talent or scared by the slider and spins out. Then after looking like a fool, i believe it is his own fault. On the slide job, Stewart never touched him

I can sympathise with the family for their loss, but that's as far as it goes. Bottom line imo is if the kid had stayed in his car he'd be alive today! Everbody seems to be reading minds here, and recalling a split second moment in time as if it were etched in their memories. Eye witnesses or not, seldom do two or more people see a situation such as this with the same recall. Where does the kid's responsibility come in to this deal? He caused his own death! Of course the family wants to lay blame elsewhere. I could give two shits about Stewart's past displays of anger or whatever regarding this episode. That has no bearing on this incident.

JZ is a dumb bitch.  She could see all that as she was behind Stewart, but numbnuts was to Tony's right and he could not see him, until like he said, last second.  I firmly believe that Tony had no clue who the guy was because he did not know who caused the yellow.  Get this over with already

The kid tested positive for weed. He gets out of his car and wanted to be superman. In the split second that this all happened no one should be acting like  they understood what took place. Drivers have gotten out of cars for years,  getting out of a race car before track personnel gets to you is flat out stupid unless you are on fire or something else that is life threatening . TS is by no means an  angel. Wasn't it Matt Kennseth he tryed to have him test his drivers helmet. lol.

Racing is dangerous. Getting out angry and making quick and aggressive movements on a hot and dark track is far more dangerous. Wish it had not happened but it did...

I'm sure not a whole lot is being put into believing the testimony of a bitter ex girlfriend.... and of course it's a huge surprise that Ward's family found "experts" that say it was all Smoke's fault.   Imagine that....

Ol JZ must be a chev girl.  No wonder its taking 2 years to get a Ford in the cars with all this dramaSmile. Marry a fine faithful lady like Beverly early in life and it only takes a few weeks.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Regardless of what happened Kevin is gone and He should have never exited his car and ran down the track to confront the driver.

JMO! I firmly believe had it not been TS he wouldve stayed in his car and it wouldn't have been a big deal. Because it was TS, KW was making a bigger deal out of it. Given this incident, I would like to see TS race with the WoO or his ASCOC rather than the smaller sanctions.

Dam you all are really cold a young kid right or wrong was killed, I'm sure it was not done but a mistake, but a kid still was killed and all the bench driving and Tony loving can't help. Both! Think if his mom reads this sure there upset.that night people said Tony kicked the car out! Not to hit him but did.all the other cars some how didn't. They said ward didn't come down at Tony but Tony moved up the track.but as for staying in the car each of you have seen drivers get out hell I seen a driver stand on the race track and throw mud at a driver,I think Tony was asked to leave the land down under for throwing his helmet at the promoter almost went to jail? This was a real big mistake for how ever it happened wards or Tony's but a mistake but all the people running there lips and calling a dead young man names I really hope that don't happen to you.there is still family out there mite even still be a fan.but one things for sure zero of us has ever done this or been in that spot.ward lost his life racing for them same dum asses that are running off a the month and a week before would have paid to buy his shirt so show a little respect to the family and to Tony I'm sure he's not calling anyone names.

I totally agree. I can't remember where I read it now so it may be bullshit, but I remember seeing that Ward's family was not real happy about Tony racing there that night. I wish I remembered more about it but I think it was from someone on the pits who actually talked to them and they were pissed that a professional driver like Tony was there racing against amateurs. Maybe someone on here can confirm or debunk that but regardless, what we do know is, for whatever reason, he lost his cool and paid the ultimate price. If he'd stayed in the car, he'd be alive. That simple. Let's just hope that everyone who straps into a race car learns a lesson from it and we never have to have this conversation again.

The fact is, if the kid had stayed in the car, he'd be alive regardless of what Tony or anyone else did or didn't do. You can watch the video and see that the car in front of Tony (Chuck Hebing I think?) damned near got him too. He acted like an ass, did something extremely stupid and unfortunately, paid for it with his life. All anyone is commenting on are facts.

You are 100 percent right but we have all seen drivers get out and act up,is it wrong yes but a driver must be looking for that.now after he has been killed we all got smart don't get out ? Sounds good I've been going to sprint car racing for 30 years and seen the very best in the world get out only problem is he got out at the top of the track and yes maybe a guy can't see very good but they all mist him but Tony.a mistake happened a bad one.someone must always die for people to learn.stay in the car sound easy.my only problem is the way talk of a young kid right or wrong that died doing something so we have something to do on a sat night and even if he screwed up the names people call him, just sure be a bad thing if the family got on here and seen all this.think they already paid a high price and Tony to.

Wait a second here, Kevin is not gone because he got out of his car, if he had stayed close to his own car and yelled, gave Tony the finger or even threw his helmet he would be alive. Kevin went after the car, it even appears that he tried to jump on the car in an attempt to get at Tony, this was a horrible tragic event and the only reason it's still being discussed is because it involved a celebrity driver, I feel for this family but at the end of the day this young mans life ended because of his actions on the track and all this blaming and bashing Tony Stewart will never change that.
