A few things stand out right now, Kyle Larson hasn't finished outside of the top 3 in any of the races and currently leads the speedweek points. Race #1 he took 1st, race #2 he finished 2nd. Race #3 he was 3rd, race #4 he was 2nd. Talk about consistancy. It's frustrating when you think about how good the Outlaws circuit would be if he was racing there instead of Napcar same goes for Abreu and Bell.
Last night saw Californians Rico Abreu and Kyle Larson finish 1,2. Fellow young gun Californian Carson Macedo finished 5th. Not a bad night for the west coast trained racers taking 3 of top 5. I'm jealous of the Ohio fans getting to watch these races.
Now I'm not stating this to stir up bullshit homerism sentiment etc. I just thought it was note worthy considering a good majority of the fans in this country and the media seem to forget just how good some of the west coast racers are no matter where they race.
Cheers!

"Last night saw Californians Rico Abreu and Kyle Larson finish 1,2. Fellow young gun Californian Carson Macedo finished 5th"..... sounds like Keith Kunz midget team!
Wish I could have been there myself! I alway seem to miss Kyle... 1st weekend Cocopah, I went 2nd. Caught 2 Indiana Midget Week shows, but missed Kyle again

....and Kyle is in a West Coast car out here right now too, which has to be one of the best rides in the country.. Obviously I am a big fan Kyle, but I'm a fan of all the West Coast guys like Rico, Tanner Thorson, Brad Sweet, Robert Ballou, and up and comers like Dominic Scelzi and Macedo. I think the true fans appreciate the talent that comes from out there for sure. Good post Henry.
And yeah, I'd love to see Kyle & Rico running against Schatz every night!

The Cali guys were elbows up no question about that... it was a damn shame Paulker didnt get the finish he deserved, looked like he had second covered.
The absolute best part was the racetrack... you need something to lean on for putting on a show like that. I sure hope Lima takes notice... walls are for keeping the cushion on the racetrack, put some water on it!!!
There is NO excuse for Lima to ever be won catfishing around the bottom... JMO

I believe just through tomorrow's race, then with Thursday being an off day he's headed back for Nascar Race this weekend.

I was wondering the same thing?? I have a feeling his NASCAR job might ruin his chance of winning the Speedweek title as if i'm correct he'll have to be in Sonoma for sponsor obligations and practice before the Cup race.

Correct. I believe he's scheduled through tomorrow's race then back out to Sonoma for Nascar (there's no Speedweek Show Thursday).

I have had the good fortune to see both Kyle and Rico race this week. Wow is all I can say. Wow. Yes, it's a shame they both are not full time WoO racers...and Christopher Bell too....
Scelzi is taking a swing at this too. He needs a little better luck and a better setup for some of these tracks.
Macedo ran well last night....Sheldon is not too bad either...
And kudos to Wayne County Speedway for giving those guys a track to run on.
In a different world, we could have hoped to see all these young guys at Indy....they have the talent.

Unfortunately, dirt track is just his hobby now, NASCAR is his JOB (like the rest of us schmucks....)

And Kyle Larson finishes off his portion of Ohio Speedweek with another victory. Talent.

Not too bad for a part timer! Hopefully him and Silva have plans for his next Nascar off week in that town in Iowa taking on Schatz and Brown. Make it to these shows where Abreu and or Bell are running your dirt tracks. Once they move past the Truck Series they become a lot busier on the paved tracks unfortunatly.
I have no idea how far apart all these tracks are in Ohio, but definetly makes me a little jealous. Hope they've had good fan support all week. Ive enjoyed following along on Periscope, but would definetly buy a weeks subscription for PPV's of the week if the Cushion where to offer it.

The Waynesfiled show Saturday night was SRO. They even erected a temporary bleacher in turn one, and that was full. We were treated to some great winged 410 racing. I heard Attica the night before had a really good crowd - can't speak for the most recent four shows, but I'd be suprised if they weren't well-supported by fans too. Car counts seem to be around 47 or so each night. Tony and the ASoC have a great thing going with Speedweek. I doubt it will happend, but it would be great to see Larson be the SW champion even with missing the last two races. IMO he and Paul Silva deserve it already.

Attica, Millstream, Wayne County and Sharon all had full grandstands. I couldn't go to Atomic last evening and will also miss Limaland. We are planning on Eldora Saturday. Car counts have been steady around 47, 48 cars a night. They had 51 at Sharon without Jac, Danny Dietrich, or Danny Smith.
So as of today, 4 races won by the visitors and 2 by the All Star regulars.

I think the off night was originally scheduled for Fremont, but they couldn't get the details ironed out this year.

As far as distance I'll go from my house and I'm western/central Ohio. Attica, Atomic, and Wayne County are around two hours. Waynesfield is eleven miles. Sharon is around three and a half hours. Eldora, Millstream, and Lima are an hour. I've been to all of them although the two trips I've made to Sharon have been for 360 shows. Wayne County had a huge rainstorm after hot laps and got cancelled. Each is different and each I liked. Fremont is a little over two hours as well. I am lucky.

Is Kyle in the 57 Paul silva car ? That has always been a winning team . I saw them stomp the field a few years back at the gold cup and they also smoked them at the cotton classic.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.
