Lonnie Wheatley, GLENCOE, Ala. (September 1, 2007) – Brad Bowden captured his first career American Sprint Car Series feature win in style by sweeping Saturday night's ASCS Rebel Region card at Green Valley Speedway.
 
After winning both his heat race and the Pole Dash, Bowden fought off early charges from series points leader T.J. Winegardner and then late bids from Shane Morgan to complete the sweep in the night's 25-lap feature event aboard the Reed Motorsports No. 15 mount.
 
Leading the way from the pole position, Bowden soon found himself ensnarled in a wild battle for the lead with Winegardner.  Winegardner edged into the lead on laps ten and eleven with Bowden retaking the lead on the 12^th round, just one lap before the race's only caution flew when Todd Fayard came to a stop with a cut tire.
 
Under the ensuing caution period, Winegardner had a tire go down as well and was forced to the work area for a quick change.
 
Back under way, Bowden had Morgan nipping at his heels the rest of the way.  While Morgan made several strong bids, the 20-year-old Bowden from Hernando, MS, was up to all challenges and took the checkered flag in front of Morgan with Dewayne Prince, Brian Thomas and Tyler Godwin rounding out the top five as Winegardner rebounded to finish sixth.
