Lonnie Wheatley, ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (August 18, 2007) – Keith Rauch notched his second American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region feature win of the season by wiring the field in Saturday night's 25-lap feature at Sweetwater Speedway. Starting from the pole position, Rauch outgunned fellow front row starter Derrik Ortega for the point at the drop of the green and led all the way to record sixth career series win aboard Greg Schaefer's USA Race Engines-powered IMM No. 71 Fab-Tech chassis. Sixteen-year-old Albuquerque racer Ortega kept Rauch within several car lengths throughout, but Rauch never faltered and forced Ortega to settle for second in front of Bob Schaeffer, 16-year-old Josh Flood and Larry Lapoint. Dustin Hall, Chad Corken, J.D. Hall, Jeremy McCune and Scott Milan completed the top ten. Current series points leader C.J. Johnson was forced pitside with a broken fuel pump after eleven laps but still escaped the night with a 62-point lead over Rauch. J.D. Hall, Milan and Schaeffer topped heat race action.
