WHAT The World of Outlaws head back to the Midwest for a trio of events, beginning with their inaugural visit to Clay County Speedway in Spencer, Iowa on Wednesday, September 12, followed by a return to Heartland Park Topeka in Kansas for the first time since 2002, on Friday, September 14 and concluding with a stop at Charter Raceway Park in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on Sunday, September 16 to make up an event that was postponed by rain last month. At the top of the championship standings, Donny Schatz leads Joey Saldana by 19 markers, with 14 events left on the schedule. WHEN On Wednesday, September 12 at Clay County Speedway, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central and hot laps set for 6 p.m. Central. On Friday, September 14 at Heartland Park Topeka, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central. Hot laps are set for 6:30 p.m. Central, with racing at 8 p.m. Central. On Sunday, September 16 at Charter Raceway Park, pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Central, with grandstand gates also opening at 2 p.m. Central and hot laps are set for 5 p.m. Central, with racing at 6:30 p.m. Central. WHERE Clay County Speedway is located in Spencer, Iowa at the Clay County Fairgrounds. Travel four blocks West of US 71 on 18th St. (North edge of Spencer). Heartland Park Topeka is located in Topeka, Kansas. Travel 3.9 Miles south of I-335 (Kansas Turnpike) on Topeka Avenue Charter Raceway Park is located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Travel 0.4 miles east of U.S. 151 on SR 33, then south on Raceway Road. TICKETS On Wednesday, September 12 at Clay County Speedway adult reserved tickets will be $35 with adult general admission tickets $30. Reserved tickets for juniors (15-under) will be $15, with general admission tickets for juniors, $10. For ticket information call (712) 262-4740 or visit http://www.claycountyfair.com. On Friday, September 14 at Heartland Park Topeka, advance general admission tickets will be $30, while advance reserved tickets will be $33. SLS Promotions is at: http://www.slspromotions.com ON TELEVISION The World of Outlaws on SPEED continues on Sunday, September 9 with the finale of the two-day event from Skagit Speedway at 2 p.m. Eastern, 1 p.m. Central. The World of Outlaws will be televised 20 times this season on ESPN2 and SPEED while the World of Outlaws Late Model Series is set for six appearances on SPEED. The one-hour broadcasts will air on Sundays from May 13 to Nov. 4, when the series champions will be crowned during the World Finals from The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway. Six World of Outlaws Late Model Series events this season will also be televised on the SPEED, with the next event being on September 16 with the event from Sharon Speedway earlier this season. ABOUT THE TRACKS Clay County Speedway is a high-banked 3/8-mile oval. This will be the first time that 410 sprint cars have raced on the reconfigured track. Heartland Park Topeka is a semi-banked 3/8-mile oval. The track record of 11.500 seconds was established by Joey Saldana on June 24, 2002. Charter Raceway Park is a high-banked 1/3-mile oval. The track record of 11.275 seconds was established by Daryn Pittman in 2001.
