2008 IRA champ Bill Balog and his B Squared Motorsports team
had two IRA events on the schedule this past weekend. Friday night the team was
in competition at the Oshkosh Speedzone in Oshkosh, WI. Bill turned in the 2nd
quickest time of the night in qualifying of the 38 cars present. Just as the
heat races were to begin, a heavy thunderstorm rolled in & forced the event
to be postponed until Friday September 18th.
The team then headed
to Rice Lake Speedway for the scheduled Saturday event. As the evening was set
to begin, light persistent showers rolled in once again, forcing this event to
be called off. This event will not be rescheduled.
This coming weekend,
Bill will take the B Squared Motorsports 17B to the Dodge County Fairgrounds
Speedway in Beaver Dam on Friday for the “Stan Fox Memorial”, before heading to
the Grant County Speedway in Lancaster WI on Saturday.
