The 2009 edition of the Bumper to Bumper IRA sprint car series went trackside this past Saturday, for the annual “Rick Schmitt Memorial” & 2008 Champ Bill Balog was looking to carry some momentum over from the 08 season. Bill would end up timing in 3^rd out of 37 cars. The 17B would start the 3^rd heat from the 6^th position & come home with a 4^th place finish. The 4^th place finish guaranteed Balog a starting spot in the main event. Bill would start the feature from the 9^th spot. After keeping his B2 Motorsports #17B out of trouble, Bill would end up coming home in the 10^th position. The team will head back to the Dodge County Fairgrounds this coming Saturday for Round 2 of the IRA schedule.
