Hillier gets rained on in PA, travels to Minnesota next

Chad Hillier again got rained on Sunday in Mechanicsburg, Penn. as Mother Nature forced the cancellation of the prestigious Morgan Hughes National Open at Williams Grove Speedway. After Friday’s and Saturday’s races were washed out, the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series tried to get in the event on Sunday as it was scheduled to be aired live on SPEED. However, the tally rose to four World of Outlaws events rained out in the month of September.

Hillier, driver of the DIRT Inc. No. 5c Maxim sponsored by Jansma Construction, Wink Dog Motorsports and Fast Wings, will now travel to Minnesota for two nights of racing this coming weekend. Friday night, North Central Speedway in Brainerd welcomes the Greatest Show on Dirt before the tour returns to Princeton Speedway for the Princeton Nationals. Next will be two nights of racing at Hollywood Hills Speedway in New Mexico on October 10 and 11 before the tour’s final 2008 visit to California.

Hillier continues to run 16th in the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series point standings with a month to go in the tour’s 30th Anniversary Season. Races remain in Minnesota, New Mexico, California, Kansas, and North Carolina.
