Hillier scores two more top 20’s at Dodge City ALK Promotions, June 23 DODGE CITY, Kan. - Chad Hillier continued his second full-season with the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series this weekend as the “Greatest Show on Dirt” ran the Boot Hill Showdown at Dodge City Raceway Park in Kansas, running in the A-Feature both nights. The Sedro-Woolley, Wash. driver, driving the DIRT Inc. No. 5c Maxim sponsored by Jansma Construction and Fast Wings, qualified 19^th with a time of 13.354 seconds around the 3/8-mile, high-banked clay oval. Finishing seventh in the first heat race, Chad was slated to start 17^th in the 30-lap A-Feature. Hillier finished 18^th. The next night saw a few more cars in the pit area and the track a little slower, but Hillier still moved up the charts in qualifying, timing in 16^th quickest with a time of 13.690 seconds, placing him in the first heat race again. He finished fifth to successfully transfer and retain his time in the A-Feature, which was again scheduled for 30 laps. Starting 16^th, Hillier stayed out of trouble and finished 14^th, picking up $1,000 for his efforts. Hillier remains 18^th in the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series points standings, battling with Tim Shaffer, Tony Bruce Jr. and Lucas Wolfe to get into the top 15. The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series continues its 30^th Anniversary season with three straight nights of racing at three different tracks this coming weekend. Friday and Saturday, the annual Duel in the Dakotas will be competed in North Dakota. River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks will host the best winged sprint car racers in the world on Friday and Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo will welcome the tour on Saturday, June 28. On Sunday, June 29 Hillier and the rest of the Outlaws will tow across Minnesota and will stop in western Wisconsin to race at Cedar Lake Speedway. Later this week, look for a special interview with Chad as he discusses his experiences on the track and on the road in his second year with the World of Outlaws.
