World of Outlaws Event at Tri-State Speedway Tonight Postponed Haubstadt, IN- April 19, 2008--By: Tony Veneziano, World of Outlaws PR Director
The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event for tonight (Saturday, April 19) at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana has been postponed due to excessive rain. The race has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 6.
Heavy overnight showers saturated the track, infield and pit area, with rain continuing to fall throughout the afternoon, leaving track officials insufficient time to prepare the racing surface. Additionally the track and the surrounding area has received over 15 inches of rain above the average rainfall this spring.
After picking up his second A-Feature win of the season last Friday night at Eldora Speedway, Craig Dollansky holds a 17 point lead in the World of Outlaws championship standings over Jason Meyers, after six events.
The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series returns to action on Friday, April 25 at Huset's Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, followed by a stop at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Iowa on Saturday, April 26.
