Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series At a Glance: Tri-State Speedway Concord, NC- April 14, 2008--By: Tony Veneziano, World of Outlaws PR Director
WHAT * The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will contest their second short track race of the season on Saturday, April 19 at the always racy Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana.
Steve Kinser, the 20-time series champion, led all 40 laps last season in a dominating performance to earn his seventh career A-Feature win with the series at the track in his home state.
Craig Dollansky, who won at Eldora Speedway last Friday night and is the current Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship point leader won at the ¼-mile in 2006.
Dating back to 1979, the series has competed a total of 26 times at Tri-State Speedway, with 13 different drivers earning victories. WHEN * On Saturday, April 19, the Pit Gates will open 2:30 p.m. Central, while the Grandstand Gates will open at 4 p.m. Central and Hot Laps are tentatively set for 6 p.m. Central.
WHERE * Tri-State Speedway is located in Haubstadt, Indiana, just three miles north of I-64 on U.S. 41
TICKETS * On Saturday, April 19, General Admission tickets for adults will be $30, with general admission tickets for children ages 6-12 just $15 and kids five-under will be admitted free of charge. Reserved tickets have been sold out.
General Admission tickets will be on sale at the track Thursday, April 17 and Friday, April 18 from 12 -6 p.m. Central, and also the day of the race when the ticket booths open at 4:00 p.m. Central. For ticket information visit:

ABOUT THE TRACK * Tri-State Speedway is a high-banked 1/4-mile oval. The track record 11.110 seconds was established in time trials by Sammy Swindell on October 8, 2004.
