TULSA, Okla. (February 6, 2008) - The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints On Dirt presented by Victor Reinz is proud to announce the inaugural ASCS Sprints on Dirt Short Track Challenge. The Short Track Challenge is designed to accommodate drivers that may not be able to compete on the entire ASCS SOD schedule, but would still like to compete for a championship.
The 2008 Short Track Challenge (STC) will consist of eight events at various Michigan tracks ranging from ¼ to 3/8 mile in length. Separate points will be kept for the STC, with the driver accumulating the most points throughout those eight events being crowned King of the 2008 ASCS Sprints on Dirt Short Track Challenge.
The final touches are currently being placed to the complete 2008 schedule that will include approximately 25 point events. The schedule for the ASCS Sprints on Dirt's 29th year of competition will be released when the remaining contracts are received.
