The 2008 Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series opener, the 37^th Annual Alltel DIRTcar Nationals is just two days away at Volusia Speedway Park in Florida, on February 8.
 
In celebration of the series 30^th anniversary season this year, for each of the 10 days leading up to the event, each one of the Top-10 all-time A-Feature winners with the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will be highlighted. These 10 drivers have combined for 1,449 A-Feature wins with the series dating back to 1978. Of the 10 drivers, four will be competing full-time with the series in 2008, beginning with the 37^th Annual Alltel DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.
 
Next up on the list will be three-time series champion Sammy Swindell, with 268 career A-Feature wins, who is second on the all-time list.
 
Swindell won his first career Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A-Feature at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Texas in the series inaugural season of 1978, and his most recent win with the series came in 2006 at Eldora Speedway. He won a career-high 28 A-Feature events with the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in 1981, when he claimed his first series title.
 
Among the wins in his career is the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway three times. He also claimed the 1983 Knoxville Nationals, as well as the National Open at Williams Grove Speedway in 1997. Swindell also has won the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway and the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in California.
 
In his career at the Alltel DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park, Swindell has won twice and has 10 Top-10 finishes.
