WHAT? The 2008 Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season kicks off with the 37
th Annual Alltel DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Florida this week on Friday, February 8. Last season, Donny Schatz, Daryn Pittman and Kerry Madsen all picked up victories in the season opening three-day event. In the eight A-Feature events that have been contested at Volusia Speedway Park by the series, dating back to 1981, eight different drivers have reached the winner's circle. Another strong field of over 50 cars is expected for each of the three nights of action at the half-mile.
WHEN? On Friday, February 8 at Volusia Speedway Park, the Pit Gates will open at 2 p.m. Eastern, with Grandstand gates set to open at 4 p.m. Eastern and Hot Laps are tentatively scheduled for 6 p.m. Eastern.
? On Saturday, February 9 at Volusia Speedway Park, the Pit Gates will open at 2 p.m. Eastern, with Grandstand gates set to open at 4 p.m. Eastern and Hot Laps are tentatively scheduled for 6 p.m. Eastern.
