The 2008 Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series opener, the 37^th Annual Alltel DIRTcar Nationals is just eight days away at Volusia Speedway Park in Florida, on February 8.
 
In celebration of the series 30^th anniversary season this year, for each of the 10 days leading up to the event, each one of the Top-10 all-time A-Feature winners with the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will be highlighted. These 10 drivers have combined for 1,449 A-Feature wins with the series dating back to 1978. Of the 10 drivers, four will be competing full-time with the series in 2008, beginning with the 37^th Annual Alltel DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.
 
Next up on the list will be Stevie Smith, with 66 career A-Feature wins, who is eighth on the all-time list.
 
Smith won his first A-Feature with the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in 1988 at Lincoln Speedway in Pennsylvania. His most recent win with the series was in 2005 in the Brad Doty Classic, when the race was held at Attica Raceway Park.
 
Among the races that he has won during his career with the World of Outlaws include: The National Open at Williams Grove Speedway twice, as well as the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in California and the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway.
 
Smith has won at 46 different tracks in 23 states, and still competes with the series. In 2007, he took part in 13 events with the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, mainly in the Northeast, earning six Top-10 finishes.
 
In his career at the Alltel DIRTcar Nationals, Smith has three Top-10 finishes, including a third-place run in 2002, which was his last start at the half-mile.
