The 2008 Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series opener, the 37
th Annual Alltel DIRTcar Nationals is just 10 days away at Volusia Speedway Park in Florida.
In celebration of the series 30
th anniversary season this year, for the next 10 days each of the Top-10 all-time A-Feature winners with the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will be highlighted. Of the 10 drivers, four will be competing full-time with the series in 2008, beginning with the Alltel DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.
First up on the list will be Jac Haudenschild, who has 46 career A-Feature wins with the series and is tied for ninth on the all-time list, with Bobby Davis Jr. The native of Wooster, Ohio earned his first win with the series in 1985 at Kokomo Speedway in Indiana.
Among his wins with the series are three triumphs in the famed Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway, as well as two victories in the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in California. He also has won A-Feature events at Knoxville Raceway, Manzanita Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway among others.
Last season, he won the Brad Doty Classic at Limaland Motorsports Park in his home state of Ohio, along with a victory at Red River Valley Speedway in North Dakota which put him in the all-time Top-10.
Haudenschild has won in 16 different seasons with the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. He has won an A-Feature event at 30 tracks, in 17 different states. In 1998 he won a career high 11 A-Feature events with the series. Of the tracks that comprise the 2008 schedule for the World of Outlaws, he has won at 15 of them.
In the Alltel DIRTcar Nationals last season, he finished 10
th on the first night. He has one career win at Volusia Speedway Park in the Alltel DIRTcar Nationals, that coming with the All Star Circuit of Champions in 1995.
