Rich Vleck, TULSA, Okla. (January 24, 2008)- Being named an ASCS Patriot Rookie of the Year has always been a prestigious achievement, but in 2008, it will bring along with it plenty of cash and contingencies to create one of the most fierce rookie battles in recent memory.
Stemming from a successful weekend at Motorsports 2008 in Atlantic City, where Mid-Atlantic Champion Tim Hogue's No. 39 prouded represented ASCS, plenty of major developments also came from this pre season race fest.
Insinger Performance, of Dushore, PA, has been named the title sponsor of the 2008 ASCS Patriot Region Rookie of the Year Battle. Insinger will also be the official fuel provider to the series, as the partnership will benefit all parties involved.
The sixth different competitor to be named an ASCS Patriot Rookie of the Year at the year-end awards banquet will receive a significant cash amount, along with a Rookie of the Year Jacket, and a number of contingency prizes. In addition to the rookie prize, Insinger will also make a sizable contribution to the overall point fund, benefiting all regular ASCS Patriot competitors in 2008.
Insinger Race Fuel will be available at all ASCS Patriot races this season at the MEM Parts Trailer, allowing for an even larger bonus program to add to the point fund with each gallon sold.
"This is a great partnership with Bruce Insinger and his company," said ASCS Patriot Regional Director Mike Emhof. "We have been looking to put this partnership together for some time now, so we are very excited to finally get a chance to do this. This will make our rookie battle very special."
Two young and exciting competitors have already announced they will chase the Insinger Rookie of the Year title in 2008. Jimmy "Bubba" Broderick of Brookfield, CT moves to the Patriots full time after two years of terrorizing the A-Verdi Storage Containers Central New York Mini Sprints. Young Robbie Shuttleworth has won dozens of races in micro sprint competition in the heart of Patriot Country and will move up to the full sized sprint, something he has been waiting to do for quite some time. More information will be out on both competitors, and even more rookies, in the weeks to come.
Insinger will make another major contribution to the ASCS Patriot and Mid-Atlantic schedule as they will be the title sponsor of the 10
th Annual Insinger Race Fuels NY Nationals presented by S.P. Wilson on Friday, August 8 at Black Rock Speedway. This event will pay $5,000 to the winner and is likely to be circled on every fan and driver's schedule.
