Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla.  (January 16, 2008) – With seven different champions crowned over each of the past eight years, the American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region has announced its 2008 schedule.
 
The ASCS Rocky Mountain Region 2008 season will consist of 17 nights of competition at a half dozen tracks throughout New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska.
 
The series is set to kick off the season with a two-night stand at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Olathe, CO, on May 24-25.  With a compact schedule featuring eight two-night weekends along the way, the series' season concludes at Aztec (NM) Speedway on September 19-20.

The American Sprint Cars is the nation's most prevalent Sprint Car sanction body, with the series sanctioning 189 nights of racing at 90 different tracks throughout 25 different states and Canada in 2007, with 866 different drivers competing in at least one event.
