Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (January 16, 2008) – Gearing up for its inaugural season of racing action, the all-new American Sprint Car Series Northwest Region recently announced its 2008 schedule.
In its first year under the ASCS Banner, the Northwest Region is currently slated for 15 nights of racing action at seven different tracks throughout Washington and Oregon.
After the season's opening four nights of action, it's time for "Six in Six" with the ASCS Northwest Speedweek from July 14-19, culminating with a $5,000 to win finale at Grays Harbor Raceway.
Grays Harbor, which also hosts the series season opener on May 24 and 25, will later host the Fred Brownfield Memorial Sprint Challenge on September 19-20, with the victor taking away a $10,092 winner's cut.
The inaugural season for the ASCS Northwest Region concludes at the Yakima Dirt Track on September 26-27.
