VIENNA, WV (November 24, 2007)- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team finished their 2007 season at the World of Outlaws Finals at the Lowes Dirt Track in Concord, NC on November 1-3^rd. Steve would show the way with a new track record in qualifying beating 82 other drivers during time trials and earning the fast time award for both nights of racing.

On Friday night the 50-lap $10,000 to win feature event saw Steve start from the 7^th position. Steve would run in the top ten most of the night before suffering a rear end failure and finished a disappointing 20^th in the final run down. On the second night the 50-lap feature event would again pay $10,000 to the winner and Steve would work hard to get in contention for the first place prize money. Steve would have to win the second B-main to earn a 19^th starting position for the feature. From there Steve would masterfully drive to the front in front of the Live SPEED Channel cameras and advance into the top five in the closing stages of the race. Steve would finish a strong 4^th place at the checkers in night two of the World Finals.

"It was a pretty good way to finish the season by setting a new track record at Lowes and driving into the top five in front of the SPEED Channel cameras that broadcasted the event live. We didn't get as many wins in 2007 as we would have liked but we were in contention on several occasions. Were already working on our cars for next year and look forward to beginning our 25^th year in racing in 2008.
