Colton Brown looking for sponsors

Brownsburg, Indiana - November 14, 2007... Aspiring youngster Colton Brown of Brownsburg, Indiana is looking for sponsors for the upcoming 2008 racing season. Brown is currently a crew member of the Tony Stewart Racing team and is going to be running a Mini Sprint next year.
Brown is a 15 year-old high school student who gets good grades in school and has raced karts since the age of seven. With the high cost of racing in today’s world, not a lot can be done without good marketing partners and Brown is in search of them to get his Mini Sprint operation off the ground. "I pretty much need money to help fund the operation but I’ll also take any kind of product that company’s are willing to donate," Brown said.
In addition to working for Tony Stewart Racing this season he spent the year racing karts and in 12 starts he tallied top 10 finishes in each of them including six wins, three runner-ups and a pair of third place finishes. Brown also had the opportunity to rent a Mini Sprint and give it a try this season to see if it was something he wanted to do.
The Mini Sprint he ran was custom built for indoor racing, so it didn’t necessarily have the handling characteristics he would have liked, but Brown had a good time and showed potential. He started last on the grid during the main event and had made it up to eighth within a handful of laps. Midway through the race he lost his brakes however, and took it easy the last part of the race to score a top 15 finish. "I had a lot of fun running the Mini Sprint and I knew right away that it was something I definitely wanted to do more of," the 15 year-old said.
Brown would be a good marketing partner for any company or business because he has the drive to succeed in the sport of racing. "I think I can represent sponsors well because I know that I’ll be winning by the end of the year," he said. "I’ll have the Tony Stewart Motorsports sticker on the side of the car as well so hopefully that’ll bring some more exposure to our team."
Brown will be running at places all over Indiana including US 24 Raceway, North Track Speedway, Miami County Speedway in Peru and Bakersfield Raceway Park in Linton. News from Colton Brown’s upcoming season will appear on the new website http://www.sprintcarpr.com
