Rich Vleck, TULSA, Okla. (October 24, 2007) - Three times this year, the ASCS Mid-Atlantic and Patriot Regions worked together to produced star-studded events. This December, there will be one more occasion for the two Northeast regions to work together.
The Fifth Annual ASCS Patriots Banquet, held on December 1
st, will now have even more surrounding the event as the Inaugural Season of ASCS sanctioned competition in the Mid-Atlantic Region is honored along with their Northern Neighbors.
"This is going to be a great addition to an already highly-anticipated event," said ASCS Patriot Regional Director Mike Emhof. "Having both regions work together on some shows this year was a great benefit and is something we will continue to expand on in the future."
Tim Hogue of Medford, NJ won the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship, over youngster Coleman Gulick and former ASCS Patriot Champion George Suprick. Those three will be among those honored and receiving point fund money.
The Mid-Atlantic Region consisted of events at Susquehanna Speedway Park and Virginia Motor Speedway, along with races co-sanctioned with the ASCS Patriots at Black Rock Speedway and Penn Can Speedway. Seventy-two competitors ran in the series' first go-round.
The 2007 Awards Banquet, held on Saturday, December 1, will take place at the All-New Holiday Inn and Suites, centrally located on Jefferson Road in Henrietta, NY. The night of activities will kick off at 4:00 p.m. with a 2008 Rules Meeting open to all teams. At 6:00 p.m., cocktail hour will get underway with 2007 ASCS Patriot Champion Chuck Hebing buying the first round of drinks. At 7:00 p.m., dinner will be served, with the Awards Presentations to follow.
Tickets for this event are just $30, which includes admission to the pre-banquet rules meeting, cocktail hour, dinner and dessert. Tickets may be purchased up until November 22 (Thanksgiving) by sending a check, made payable to ASCS Patriots, to Rich Vleck at 64 Straub Road, Rochester, NY 14626.
