CALLAHAN, FL (October 16, 2007)- Southeast Motorsports would like to congratulate several customers that had a successful weekend at Golden Isles Speedway this past weekend. Matt Miller driving the Murrell Mixon Motorsports Team car during the Southern All Stars East and O'Reilly Southern All Stars sanctioned events at Golden Isles Speedway picked up a big win and the $10,000 first place prize money. Matt was a guest driver in the M&M Motorsports Mastersbilt Chassis #7 entry with Southeast Motorsports shop foreman Ronnie Blair as the crew chief for the weekend. Matt and the team would pass Billy Moyer, Chris Madden and 4-time National Champion earl Pearson Jr. to win the 60-lap feature O'Reilly Southern All Stars sanctioned event this past Saturday.
"I have to thank Murrell Mixon for the opportunity to drive his car this weekend. I had an off weekend from driving the Larry Moring Motorsports car and Murrell asked me come down and run his car over the weekend. Ronnie and the guys at Southeast Motorsports really gave me a great car all weekend and we had a lot of fun and got the win. I'm looking forward to coming back down and driving Murrell's car at GIS for the $10,000 to win "Show Down on the Coast" October 25-27th. Murrell has top notch equipment and Ronnie does a great job preparing the cars", stated Matt.
Another Southeast Motorsports customer picked up a win Saturday night in the open wheel modified division at GIS. PJ Wiggins won his 7th feature in the open wheel modified division in 2007 this past Saturday after starting 10th in the 20-lap feature event. "I want to thank everyone at Southeast Motorsports for their support and building such a good car. These cars really can drive anywhere on the track and have tremendous forward bite", stated PJ. Southeast Motorsports customer Brandon Cameron also had several good runs in the super late model events this weekend at GIS. Brandon has only run a few super late model events in his young career but showed his talents by running in the top ten all weekend against some of the best drivers in the country.
