Earl Pearson Jr. Heads to Golden Isles Speedway This Weekend, New Championship Shirts

ARCHDALE, NC (October 12, 2007)-

Earl Pearson Jr. and the Bobby Labonte Racing Team
will return to his home track this weekend in Brunswick, GA and compete at Golden
Isles Speedway in a Southern All-Stars East sanctioned event Friday October 12th
 and a Southern All-Stars sanctioned 60-lap $10,000 to win feature on Saturday October13th.
Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA is just 1 hour north of Jacksonville, FL
where Earl resides. Earl grew up racing at the Golden Isles Speedway and won numerous
feature events at the track before moving up and traveling with the Hav-A-Tampa
series in the mid 90's.


Earl who just won his third Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Championship
and his 4th consecutive touring series national championship will have his new championship
shirts and merchandise available at Golden Isles Speedway this weekend. The ASI
Racewear vendor trailer will be at the event and will have all of Earl Pearson Jr.'s
merchandise on sale.


By winning the 2007 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series title, Earl has won three series
championships in a row winning in '05, '06 and now '07. Earl and the Bobby Labonte
Racing Team tied with the most series wins in 2007 winning five events. Earl's wins
on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series came at East Bay Raceway in Tampa, FL, Farley
Speedway in Farley IA, Virginia Motor Speedway in Saluda, VA, Lucas Oil Speedway
 in Wheatland, MO and Kankakee Motor Speedway in Kankakee, IL. Earl will be officially
crowned the series champion at the series awards banquet at the annual PRI Show
in Orlando, FL on December 6th.


Earl competed at the Lowes Dirt track on Wednesday night October 10th in a World
 of Outlaws sanctioned event. After finishing second in his heat race Earl drew
the 14th starting position for the 50-lap feature event. Earl would get caught up
in a wreck on the initial start on lap 1 and returned from repairs to start at the
rear of the field. But bad luck again plagued Earl as another multi-car crash would
end Earls night on lap 13 with severe damage giving Earl a 19th place finish in
the final run down.
