Princeton, MN—October 5, 2007--By: Tony Veneziano, World
of Outlaws PR Director
The opening night of the PolyDome Princeton National at
Princeton Speedway in Minnesota for the World of Outlaws on Friday
has been postponed due to heavy rains that drenched the track and pit area, with
rain continuing to fall into the afternoon.
The race will now become a one-day event on Saturday,
October 6, with full championship points and the winner receiving $10,000. The
pit gates are scheduled to open at 2 p.m. Central on Saturday, with grandstand
gates opening at 4 p.m. Central and hot laps set for 6:30 p.m.
Central.
Donny Schatz leads the World of Outlaws championship
standings heading into the event by 90 makers over Joey Saldana, with just six
events remaining in 2007.
Danny Lasoski, Daryn Pittman, Jason Meyers and Steve
Kinser are third through sixth respectively in the standings and are separated
by just 121 points. Pittman is just 30 points out of the third position, while
Meyers is only 28 markers behind Pittman.
Last season in the Princeton PolyDome National, Daryn
Pittman won both the preliminary feature and the A-Feature. In 2005, Steve
Kinser won the finale of the event, with Minnesota native Craig Dollansky picking up
the win in the series inaugural visit to the high-banked ¼-mile in
2004.
