The Trone Outdoor Motorsports #39 has picked up the pace after a mid season break, following the Knoxville Nationals. Finishing 4th at Port Royal's Tuscarora 50 preliminary feature and being locked in for Saturday's Tuscarora 50, the #39 came home witha respectable 6th place finish going into the National Open at Williams Grove. This past weekend TJ Stutts qualified 13th quickest of 57 cars on night 1 of the World of Outlaws, Williams Grove Nationals, earning him a pole heat starting spot. Stutts went on to win heat #3, qualifying for the dash where TJ came home 5th. In the feature, TJ made a valiant effort on the last lap to pass fellow PA Posse member Chad Layton, but came up just short at the finish for a well-earned 2nd place. On night 2 of the National Open, TJ started 10th in the feature and was running in the 7th position, challenging Doug Esh for 6th when the Trone Outdoor Motorsports #39 ran out of fuel, spitting and sputtering to the checkered flag, earning a respectable 10th place National Open finish. After a weekend to remember for a first year team, TJ and the #39 crew are excited for the remaining few races. After a long summer of racing, the Trone Outdoor Motorsports #39 is looking to end the season on a strong note.
