World of Outlaws Championship Standings Through September 26

After finishing second on Wednesday night at Orange County Fair Speedway in New York, Donny Schatz extended his lead in the World of Outlaws championship standings to 73 points over Joey Saldana, with nine events remaining in 2007. Saldana sustained a flat right rear tire while running in the Top-Five at Orange County and finished 21st.
 
Schatz has 63 Top-10 finishes on the year, in 68 A-Feature events, while Saldana has 59 Top-10 finishes.
 
Daryn Pittman used his sixth A-Feature win of the season to close to within 19 points of Danny Lasoski who is third in the standings.
 
Jason Meyers used a fifth-place finish on Wednesday night to remain fifth in points, just 22 markers behind Pittman.
 
Steve Kinser finished fourth at Orange County after starting 15th and is just 28 points out of the Top-Five in the standings. The drivers in positions three through six in the World of Outlaws championship standings are separated by just 69 points.
 
Craig Dollansky earned his 43rd Top-10 finish of the season on Wednesday night and is seventh in points, with Paul McMahan who picked up his 36th Top-10 of the season at Orange County, eighth, just 48 markers behind him.
 
Jason Solwold remains ninth in points, with Tim Shaffer rounding out the Top-10.
 
Jac Haudenschild used a third-place finish on Wednesday night to move into the 11th spot in points, 11 markers ahead of Terry McCarl.
 
Kerry Madsen, who set a new track record in time trials at Orange County Fair Speedway on Wednesday night, continues to lead standings for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award.
 
The World of Outlaws return to action on September 28-29 at Williams Grove Speedway in the National Open, which will again pay $50,000 to win this season.
