Press Release Submitted by on 09/11/2015 at 12:55 PM Send To Friend | Report Press Release
GRAND FORKS, ND (September 11) - Not only have the NOSA Sprints been added to all three nights of the 9th annual John Seitz Memorial at River Cities Speedway for the first time ever, they will now be racing for an unprecedented top prize on Saturday night as a part of the Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin' Challenge. The A-main will pay $2,500-to-win, which is double the normal payout, but the drivers will also have the option to start at the rear of the field for a chance to win $8,200! The feature pays $500-to-start as well. Here are the details: NOSA passing point format to be used all three nights for Blazin’ Challenge race with top two finishers from Thursday and Friday and the next four highest in combined NOSA points. Making a total of eight cars to be qualified for the $8,200 to win from the back row BWW Blazin’ Challenge. (if top two cars are duplicates, then next highest in points will be added to keep eight cars qualified). The eight qualifiers will run 10 lap dash Saturday starting by highest combined two-day points (inverting top four). Finishing order of the dash will determine order of accepting the Blazin’ Challenge to start the 35 lap feature from the back four rows or elect to start up front. Teams will have five minutes after dash to decide. All other non-qualifiers after Friday will have their NOSA points reset to zero for Saturday, giving them a legitimate chance to start Saturday’s feature on the pole determined by NOSA points for heat races (all eight qualifiers will have to elect to take the challenge to start from the back four rows) Additionally, top twelve in heats are qualified and top four from “B” feature will complete 24 car field. Racing starts at 7pm Friday night and 6pm on Saturday.
