FASTRAK Signs Kentucky’s Richmond Raceway to be sanctioned for 2014 Season!!


January 7th, 2014 FASTRAK PR (Carnesville, Georgia) – The 3/8th mile Richmond Raceway located Kentucky is stepping up the ladder to better improve the crate late models program at the

Saturday night facility. Beginning in 2014 Richmond Raceway will now be proudly sanctioned for the 1st time ever by the FASTRAK Racing Series for the new bi-weekly crate late models division. In addition to competing on the separate stables for a $600 to win show with its own points system and then allowing FASTRAK members the opportunity to qualify for the World Championships. They will compete with the super late model specials and accumulate points that way too.



“Man, I’m really excited to have FASTRAK on board with us at Richmond Raceway in 2014,” exclaimed Joey Tackett. “I have heard much interest about the FASTRAK program, which in my opinion and countless others offers the best incentives for crate racing today or ever. After Wesley Outland of FASTRAK took the time almost two hours after PRI in Indianapolis to talk with me about the benefits of being sanctioned and countless communication by everyone since then I was sold. Dirt racing fans better get ready in Kentucky cause crate late model racing is on the rise and FASTRAK is the premier sanctioning body leading the way. 2014 is going to be a great season for FASTRAK drivers and teams and most of all the fans at Richmond Raceway are going to really enjoy the great competition and excitement FASTRAK racing provides,” Tackett concluded.



Per the website – Crate late models will be running a limited schedule which can be found on www.richmond-raceway.net. FASTRAK body and engine rules apply. In order to keep the crate late model class affordable, Richmond Raceway will be running non-adjustable shocks only. Permitted tires are FT200, FT400, Spec 21, Spec 55. No grooving or siping of tires allowed. Payout for the class is $600 to win and $80 to start with 8 or more cars. Crate late models are also invited to run with the super late models as well for their shows. They can run super or crate tires. Refer to official website for steel block rules that will apply.



There will be once again the FASTRAK weekly programs on a bi-weekly level paying $600 to win and in addition they will be able to compete with the super late model special shows and highest finishing crate etc. 1, 2 , 3 will collect points towards the World Championships also. There will also be the possibility for a few FASTRAK National Touring Division races to take place in 2014 at the 3/8th mile dirt facility.
