FASTRAK and Marion Center Speedway united again for 2014 Sanctioning!!

(Carnesville, Georgia) – With the holiday months quickly approaching the FASTRAK Companies International corporate office is excited to add another track to the list of FASTRAK sanctioned tracks for 2014. We’re happy to announce the ¼ mile Marion Center Speedway in the “Keystone State” will be sanctioned for the 2nd consecutive season for their FASTRAK Weekly Pro (crate) Late Models. The legendary facility, located in Marion Center, Pennsylvania which was opened in 1966 by Dave Potts and is still run by his family, provides a smooth glass like surface every Saturday night from April until September during the season.



“I’m so thrilled to have the FASTRAK program back with Marion Center in 2014.” exclaimed June Potts. “The racing under FASTRAK was excellent during the weekly shows and car counts we’re stellar. We are really looking forward to the touring events in 2014 under the FASTRAK Northeast Touring Division. What a spectacular event that took place for their debut in 2013. When Rich asked the crowd would they like the touring series back there was uproar louder than I ever heard at MCS.” concluded Potts.



Marion Center Speedway begins its consecutive 48th Anniversary on Saturday nights in May 2014. The gates and concession stands open an hour and a half before the racing begins at 7:30pm. A complete racing card for a night’s program consists of 7 divisions competing.



The 1/4 mile dirt track oval nicknamed “The Thrill on the Hill” is located on the top of a hill, just off PA route 119, 3 miles north of Marion Center and 10 miles south of Punxsutawney at 484 Potts Road, Marion Center, PA 15759. The track was built in the fall of 1965 with the first races in the summer of 1966. The business has been owned and operated by the Potts family (Dave, June, Rich, and Janet) ever since.
