Thomas Defeats Blair by -3 Points Pocketing $5,000 - 2013 FASTRAK Northeast Weekly Regional Top 30 Points Recap

(Carnesville, Georgia) – It was only 3 points to decide it all in the Inaugural FASTRAK Weekly Regional NE point’s battle for $5,000 dollars. When it was said and done #32 “K-Rocket” Kyle Thomas in the Rocket Chassis from Pennsboro, West Virginia was able to capture the $5,000 as champion over eventual 2013 FASTRAK City Chevrolet Northeast Touring Division #111 Max Blair. Titusville, Pennsylvania’s Blair in his Rocket chassis collected 6 tour wins of the 2013 season. It came down to the final point’s weekend between Thomas and Blair. That was the 3rd weekend of September just a mere 2 weeks before the World Championship weekend. Thomas was also able to collect the 2013 Tyler County Speedway weekly late model title for FASTRAK Crates.

Notable Drivers in 2013 Season:

3rd Place Points finisher Chad Wright was able to get 2 track titles in 2013 at Raceway & in Ohio and Eriez Speedway in Pennsylvania. He also collected the biggest payday in his FASTRAK career September 7th winning the $5,000 Inaugural September Sweep Weekend.

4th place finisher in the #2 Rocket and kin to the “The Truth” Greg Satterlee was the 2013 FASTRAK Weekly Late Model champion at Marion Center Speedway in Pennsylvania. Rumors are that Satterlee is looking to do more FASTRAK NE Touring traveling in 2014.

7th place finisher Kris Southern running a Chevy 604 crate engine for 6 years before finally having to be refurbished in 2013 had another stellar season picking up numerous wins and claiming the Elkins Speedway FASTRAK Late Model title in 2013 at the West Virginia facility.

13th place finisher Bobby Rohrer was able to compete in 2013 full time on the FASTRAK City Chevrolet Northeast Touring division bit made big news being the Inaugural “King of the Hill” winner back in October 2013 during World Championships weekend.

14th place finisher was able to have a stellar 2013 racing season and being a consistent participant on the tour he was able to be the runner up in the National NE Touring program to close the season.

24th finisher Dave Airgood Jr Was able to put himself on top of the FASTRAK racing world when he captured a wild and 1st career FASTRAK Touring win at the Raceway 7 in Ohio back in June during “Roar by the Shore” weekend.

Here’s a rundown of the Top 30 final standings. Again $5,000 is going to be awarded to the Weekly Northeast National Champion Kyle Thomas. However the rest of the Top 30 members in NE Weekly Regional Points will also receive their part of the points pay at the FASTRAK National Awards banquet in January 2014.
