Two $5K Weekly Regional Titles and $10K FASTRAK City Chevrolet
Southeast Touring Championship by Mere Points to be Decided Saturday!!
**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE** September 18th, 2013 FASTRAK PR
(Carnesville,
Georgia) – This is the final weekend for the drivers of the “Nations
First & Premier Pro Late Model Series in the Country” – FASTRAK
Racing Series to "punch their ticket in" or "put their final chips on
the table" to qualify for the 10 races needed for the FASTRAK World
Championships in October at Beckley, West Virginia. In addition to
getting the 10 races needed there are 3 championships up for grabs with
nearly $15,000+ at stake. The Cotton Pickin’ 50 at County Line Raceway
is a National event so any team came use this spectacular event to
replace a worse finish during the season so what does that do?
Let’s
talk about the NE REGIONAL WEEKLY POINTS NOW. Well Kyle Thomas is only
leading Max Blair by -2 points going into this weekend for the $5,000 NE
Weekly Regional Championships. Plus other teams are well within the 35
point margin. Thomas 702, Blair 700, Satterlee 694, Wright 691, Laughard
674. See what I mean? It’s still anyone’s Championship.
Now the
SE regional point’s chase which will also pay a nice $5,000 is on the
line. Eddie Hambrick is only -10 points ahead of Aaron Barley so that’s
anyone’s Championship too. Plus McCoy, LaMance, and Cox are all right
there. Hambrick 700, Barley 690, McCoy 689, Lamance 679, Cox 667.
This
means any of these teams from the Regional weekly series could take
home $5000 for the race win plus another $5000 for the points chase
making it a $10,000 pay day for them.
It might have been crazy up
to this point but now it’s insane as only -5 points which is a matter of
positions on the track decides the 2013 FASTRAK City Chevrolet
Southeast Touring Division title, but think about this also, this
upcoming weekend where David Smith and Ron Parker are going into unknown
territory the 3/8th mile clay gem in North Carolina – County Line
Raceway. Someone is going to take home the $10,000 prize and possibly
the $5,000 prize too for a total of $15,000 or will they? Could they
possibly tie? Is that really possible?
With the way these two have
battled all year long there’s no telling what might happen. Nothing is
impossible at this point in the game. If you’ve followed this pendulum
affect all year long there's no going back as the “County Line Crazies”
will witness this epic battle collide and be decided in a climatic
finish. They have raced each other clean and had good hard racing all
year long, but when it comes down to $15,000 who knows what will happen?
What
other points chase is this close anywhere? It all ends at County Line
Raceway in Elm City, North Carolina this weekend for the “Cotton Pickin’
50” Mid-Atlantic Crate Nationals championship event. IT ALL ENDS HERE...“We’ll See Ya at The Line!!”
