FASTRAK Reduces Number of Races to 10 to Qualify for $250K WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

(Carnesville, Georgia) – “The FASTRAK Racing Series has decided to reduce the number of race needed to qualify for the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP to 10.” stated Director of Operations Brian Haynes. “Stan and I have talked it over along with the rest of the staff and it’s the only fair thing to so. Tracks in the NE are a long way from one another in some instances and others in the SE have continued to have tremendous rain issues. With over 1200 races rained out across the country in 2013 there was no question as to this being the right thing to do. Like Stan says we are not here to punish racers that have done their best to get them in, but simply were rained out again and again and again”.


“This is still a working man’s” series said Stan Lester of FASTRAK. “We need to do everything we can to accommodate our teams. No one can help the weather. At our own track right here in Lavonia GA we had five rain outs in a row. I can’t see how guys making an effort, but get rained out aren’t allowed to come to the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP weekend. When people do the best they can then that’s all they can do. We will look out for ALL our teams to the best of our ability.


NOTED: THIS NUMBER WILL NOT BE CHANGED AGAIN. 10 MINIMUM TO QUALIFY FOR THE 2013 FASTRAK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – WORLD CHALLENGE WEEKEND.
