Parkersburg, WV-The
Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association was scheduled to premier at West Virginia
Motor Speedway in early July. However, after that event rained out, the series
was invited back for an even bigger and better opportunity. This Thursday,
August 29 and Friday August 30, the winged warriors of OVSCA will be invading
the “Speedplant,” as part of the 2013 Racefest, in Mineral Wells, West Virginia.
Racefest was last ran in 2010 and returns Thursday with not only the awesome
sprints of OVSCA but also the ADRA Late Models, Renegades of Dirt Traveling
Modifieds and front wheel drive 4-cylinders. The show will pay $2000 to win and
$275 to start for sprints. Friday’s event will headline with the World of
Outlaw Super Dirt Late Models, and again featuring the always exciting OVSCA
sprints as well as Renegades of Dirt and front wheel drive 4-cylinders.
Friday’s event pays sprints $2500 to win and $300 to start. There will be no
additional track registration fee for this event.
West Virginia Motor Speedway is the biggest track the Ohio
Valley Sprint Cars are scheduled to compete, measuring at 4/10 of a mile. The
recently renovated surface is expected to produce some of the highest speeds
met by the flat out flying sprints this week. Fans throughout the region look
forward to events at the ‘Plant as it is a special event facility only. With
seating along the banks of the front stretch and back stretch/pit seating also
available, you can expect a packed house for this jam packed event. With not
only the fastest guys on a dirt oval in the OVSCA sprints, but the Outlaw Late
Models, ADRA Late Models and Renegade Modifieds these two nights of racing are
bound to be among the best of the best.
