New Times Announced for Sunday’s FASTRAK NE Mountain Thunder 40 at I-77 Raceway Park, WV

(Carnesville, Georgia) – The Management at both FASTRAK and I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, West Virginia have reached a mutual agreement to push this Sunday August 18th FASTRAK Mountain Thunder 40 to be raced later in the day than at night. It will be the first ever visit by the FASTRAK Northeast Touring Division paying $2,000 to the winner. The race will be a day time event and we are planning to be done before night fall roughly around 7-8PM. The Pit Gates will now Open at 1PM and On Track Activity will be set to get underway at 4PM. AGAIN THIS WILL NOW BE A DAY TIME EVENT!!




“We took this change into consideration cause this is a Special Sunday show, plus school starts for many kids on this coming Monday and there are many race teams coming from regions all over to run this event.” stated Joseph Rush – I-77 General Manager. “We feel by making this change, it’s only going to make this event better for everyone involved. We are really looking forward to having the FASTRAK NE Touring Division invade the 3/8th mile I-77 Raceway Park and can’t wait for the show.”




“FASTRAK Teams from all the regions in the Southeast, Mideast and Northeast plus all the FASTRAK stars based out of “West Virginia” are showing a lot of interest in coming. This could be the biggest field of FASTRAK Late Models at a Northeast show this year. Reason being is because there will be NO SUNDAY RACING anywhere except at I-77 in Ripley, West Virginia. Day time racing is totally different than night time and we planned for a night race but with the circumstances of distance and travel for teams and also the little ones needing to get to bed for their 1st day of school, it’s best to run during the day.” concluded Wesley Outland – FASTRAK PR/Media Director.




Again make plans to be at I-77 Raceway Park as the FASTRAK Northeast Touring Division will be in action for the 1st time ever on August 18th for a $2,000 to win event plus the Super Lates and Semi-Lates will also be running. Pit gates will be Opening at 1PM and the Grandstands at 2PM. Drivers meeting will begin at 3:45PM sharp and cars will hit the track immediately after at 4PM. We are planning to be complete with the entire racing program by 7PM.
