(Four Oaks, North Carolina) – The weather has been on everyone’s concern throughout the entire week. We’re happy to report to everyone with hopes of not “jinxing” anything that it’s turning in our favor for this weekend FASTRAK $40,000 Dollars West Virginia Double Header weekend. After much improvement in the projected weather forecast and after numerous conversations via phone with race track promoters and dignitaries at FASTRAK Companies International we’re happy to report – ALL SYSTEMS ARE A GO!! “We absolutely we’re going to make an “executive decision” on this racing weekend by today. We just continue to see the forecast improving instead of staying the same or worsening, we are going for it and if weather persists to visit throughout the weekend, then we’ll make every effort possible to get the entire race events in.” stated Brian Haynes – FASTRAK Director of Operations.



RACING IS A GO… I REPEAT ALL SYSTEMS ARE A GO!! So race team’s load up your cars and equipment. Track promoters and track crews get those dirt racing facilities’, Beckley Motorsports Park and West Virginia Motor Speedway in great racing shape. Most of all to the race fans, call your neighbors, friends and loved ones to come on out to see “The Nation’s First and Premier Pro Late Models Series in the Country” celebrating the 10th Anniversary “Decade of Speed” in 2013 put on a double header “racing spectacle” this weekend in West Virginia.



Friday night May 10th we battle it out again at Joe and Billie Jo Jackson’s 3/8th mile Beckley Motorsports Park in Prosperity, West Virginia for a $2,000 to win FASTRAK City Chevrolet Touring Division race. This is the first stop back in 2013 at Beckley after the successful 2012 FASTRAK $250,000 World Championships, which drew 186 entrants in the weekend spectacular. The event is going to be a monumental race event as we pay our respects to “BIG” Mike Faykus. The race is going to be entitled the Inaugural “BIG Mike Faykus Memorial Race”. The race is FASTRAK and Beckley’s way to pay respects to truly a great man who loved both programs and racing dearly. We are also asking that if there are any fans who have Mike Faykus apparel to wear them proudly Friday night.



Then Saturday night May 11th we will return to the now 4/10th mile West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia. This will be the first time racing on the new racing configuration since being a part of the 30th Annual Dirt Track World Championships in 2010. This will be a FASTRAK National Event paying $5,000 to the winner. Lynn Chapman has really done an extraordinary job with the new layout and the track as seen much success. The event entitled the “Wild and Wonderful 50” will be a National Race for the FASTRAK Racing Series. All the best teams in all the regions will converge for the $5,000 to win show. The last time the FASTRAK Tour competed was in October 2010 where Jonathan Davenport pocketed the $10,000 dollar payday. At that time the track was a 5/8th mile facility. Now that it’s configured to a 4/10th mile, one thing hasn’t changed the “speed” getting around that place.
