FASTRAK Sweeney Cars NORTHEAST TOURING Series “Chiller Thriller” SHOW ON TAP FOR MERCER RACEWAY PARK THIS SATURDAY APRIL 6TH.
**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE** April 1st, 2013 FASTRAK PR – Wesley Outland & Jim Balentine
(Mercer,
Pennsylvania) - Punxsutawney Phil had predicted only just six more
weeks of winter. Race fans were eagerly anticipating the first race of
the 2013 FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Late Model Touring Series at
Mercer Raceway Park for the “Chiller Thriller 2013.” However Mother
Nature decided things otherwise as snow and cold temperatures postponed
the first race of the season to this weekend Saturday April 6th paying
$2,000 to the winner. Racing is clearly the focus to start the FASTRAK
Sweeney Cars Northeast Series opener at Mercer. This event will be one
of 3 race venues hosting races taking place on Saturday for FASTRAK
Companies International this weekend across the Mid-Atlantic United
States.
The FASTRAK Sweeney Cars NORTHEAST Series is now being
controlled by FASTRAK Founder/Owner Stan Lester and dignitaries at the
FASTRAK Companies International Corporate office in Carnesville,
Georgia. There will be many new "fan friendly" activities that will be
in place for every touring show. Those great additions include such as
FIREWORKS, autograph sessions, and other driver/fan interaction events
starting at Mercer Raceway Park this weekend.
FASTRAK’S Best
Drivers are preparing and setting their sights on defeating last year’s
big winner Max Blair. #111 “MAD” Max Blair has dominated the FASTRAK
Northeast series the past few years and will defend the FASTRAK World
Champion’s title at the conclusion of the 2013 season.
The FASTRAK
NE Touring Series will be joined by the ULMS Late Models, the FASTRAK
Late Models, the UEMS Modified, and Mercer's Open Stocks. Gates will
open at 4 p.m. An autograph session will take place at 6, with racing at
7pm.
Special event ticket pricing will be in effect for the
Chiller Thriller. Adult general admission will be $17. Seniors (age 60
and over) will get a two dollar discount at the front gate only.
Students will be admitted for $7 and all children (ages 8 and under) are
free, as usual. The economical Family Pass will be $35, which is good
for up to two adults and up to four minors of any age. Pit passes will
be $30.
