Kevin Gerhardt completes 100% acquisition of Western Speed Racing and will continue the family's long racing tradition. The team has a long history of competing in the USAC series that dates back to the 1960's with many wins in the National Midget, Sprint Car and Silver Crown competition. Notable wins include the famed Turkey Night Grand Prix in Sprints and Midgets, Iowa National Midget Race, Pikes Peak International Speedway National Midget race. Regional Midget and Sprint car championships have also been achieved as well. Among the past WRS drivers include Tony Stewart, Bobby Santos, Josh Wise and Jason Leffler. Current WSR drivers are Cody Gerhardt, Tim Skoglund and Focus driver Brodie Kostecki the Australian phenom. The team has won seven Focus Midget championships and countless wins. The team operates from it's Fresno, Calif facility and controlled by Kevin & Kent Gerhardt. WSR provides race ready Focus Midgets for up and coming drivers and fields two pavement Sprint Cars for drivers Cody Gerhardt and Tim Skoglund.
