Luther is my Father In Law. I have been blessed to know him for a little over 20yrs. I could spend hours just listening to him speak of his life. He told countless stories of his boyhood and his lovely parents. Hours telling me stories about all the things he'd done in his life from driving the milk route to working in and and purchasing Post Offices. Luther told stories of his beautiful daughters Brenda & Diane. He spoke often of his lovely grandchildren of whom he was so incredibly proud of! He spoke of his siblings of his twin brother, of his family always.  As I sit here with tears running down my cheeks it's as if he's not gone and my heart pleads with God to bring him back but he can't. 

As I said at Luther's funeral I am Forever Blessed to have had the chance to know such a GREAT Man. In all the years I knew Luther I NEVER once seen him raise his voice much less his hand in anger toward anyone. I'm 41yrs old & in all my life there has only been one other man I Truly considered a "Great Man" and that was my Grandfather who I LOST some 15yrs ago to cancer. Now I just feel lost with out Luther in my life. The selfish human part of me wants Luther & my Grandpa back but I know they are both with the Lord and this eases some of the pain. Still I want them back. God forgive me but I do.


To his Wonderful children and grandchildren: Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing Luther with us. For sharing this Amazing Man with myself and my daughter who only ever knew him as her Grandfather. You may never know the depth of our love for him but it runs so very deep. Luther will FOREVER REMAIN IN MY HEART. Please know I am praying for All of you. I Know beyond a shadow of a doubt we will be reunited once again with him in heaven. Luther touched so many, many lives while he was with us. I know he forever touched mine. Such wisdom, such knowledge and such understanding he had for everyone. I never seen him look down on another person or judge another soul it just wasn't who he was.
