Auto Racers for Kids “Sprint Car Shootout” Invades Raceway 7 on July 27
$3,000-to-win; Over $15,00 purse; $300 to start; $20 pit passes

 
Auto Racers for Kids Charities will visit Raceway 7 in Conneaut, Ohio on Tuesday, July 27 for the third round of the Bonnell Collision Sprint Car Shootout. The winner will take home $3,000 of the $15,000+ purse, including a $300 ti22 Dash for Cash and additional prize monies. The pits will open at 4:00 pm with racing at 7:00 pm.

Fans can also see their favorite drivers raise money for local children’s charities at the final 2010 Sprint Car Shootout event on Saturday, August 28 at Mercer Raceway Park.

All races are open to both 410 and 360 sprint cars. An open tire rule is in effect for all tracks except Mercer Raceway Park, in which Goodyear tires are mandated for the left and right rear wheel positions. No mufflers are required, and any wing configuration is allowed. Transponders are encouraged.

Pit passes are $20, with grandstand ticket prices at $15 for adults, $6 for kids under 12, and free for children 5 and under.  Youth under 18 will be permitted in the pits with a signed waiver. All proceeds benefit local children’s charities.

Jack Sodeman Jr. won the second round of the Sprint Car Shootout at Eriez Speedway on July 22 over Jared Zimbardi, and Carl Bowser. Heat race winners were Bowser, McKisson and Dan Shetler. Bowser, who started 10th, also took home $800 as the Hard Charger while Zimbardi picked up $500 as the highest performing 360. Rob Chaney won the ti22 Dash for Cash. 29 cars were in attendance.

The first round of the Sprint Car Shootout was held at Sportsman’s Speedway on June 20. Winner Daryn Pittman took home the victory over Dan Shetler, and Arnie Kent. Heat race winners were Bob Felmlee, Russ Sansosti, and Rod George. Jack Sodeman Jr won the ti22 Dash for Cash. Bubba Broderick was the highest performing 360, finishing in 16th position. 33 cars attended.
