Mooresville, NC The Hutchens Hybrid by Safety Solutions received the green light at the FIA World Council meeting on June 23rd, 2010 when the updated FIA Specification 8858-2010 was approved. The updated FIA Specification allows Safety Solutions an approval path for the Hybrid Head Restraint System. “What a great day for our Hybrid System! This accomplishment gives credit to the technical ability of our company to stay at the global forefront of Head Restraint Technology,” stated President Trevor Ashline. The final version of the updated standard is to be made available next week on the FIA website. Safety Solutions expects to have fully homologated units within the next few months.
The four year cumulative effort between the FIA Institute and Safety Solutions to develop this new standard for the Hutchens Hybrid will bring cutting edge technology and advanced protection to more drivers around the world. Many drivers already have the opportunity to use the Hybrid system and now European Markets along with others that follow the FIA Regulations will also. The Hutchens Hybrid will join the HANS device as the only approved Head Restraints in the FIA markets.
