Calistoga, CA—Sept. 3, 2007--By: Tony Veneziano, World of Outlaws PR Director

Joey Saldana used a fifth-place finish on Sunday night in the finale of the Harvest Classic at Calistoga Speedway in California to gain two points on Donny Schatz in the World of Outlaws championship standings. Schatz, the reigning World of Outlaws champion, finished sixth on Sunday night. The spread between the two is now just 19 points.

With his sweep of both wins over the weekend, Danny Lasoski remained third in points.

The battle for the fourth spot continues to heat up, as Steve Kinser holds the position, with Jason Meyers, who finished third on Sunday night, just a single point behind. Daryn Pittman in the sixth spot is just five points behind Meyers and six markers behind Kinser.

The rest of the Top-10 is Craig Dollansky in seventh, Paul McMahan in eighth, Jason Solwold in ninth and Tim Shaffer in 10th.

Jason Sides used a fourth-place run on Sunday night to move into the 13th spot in points, ahead of Kerry Madsen, who continues to lead the standings in the battle for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award.
