Thanks to Greg Parent of GRP Motorsports, the 2010 Upper Midwest Sprint
Car Series (UMSS) Rookie of the Year will receive a $700 check at the
annual UMSS awards banquet.
The Rookie of the Year title will be
based on all drivers' best 15 shows during the 24-event 2010 UMSS
schedule. "I love sprint car racing, and I want to do everything I can
to help out the UMSS," stated Greg Parent.
Six rookie drivers
have indicated they will be competing for rookie of the year honors.
Charly Cropp, Ronnie Erickson, Jared Gorges, Andy Jones, Anna Kouba, and
Mark Yetter will all be after the $700. (Cody Hahn was the 2009 UMSS
Rookie of the Year.)
The 2010 UMSS season gets underway Friday,
April 23rd at Kopellah Speedway, and on Saturday, April 24th at Cedar
Lake Speedway. For more information on the UMSS, go to
