ARCHDALE, NC (August 31, 2007)- Earl Pearson Jr. the 2006 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion and 2006 Hillbilly 100 Champion will return to Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV this Saturday September  1^st in hopes of winning the $25,000 first place prize two years in a row. Earl coming off a 10^th place finish last week at Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY continues the lead the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series points standings by 215 points over Scott James.
 
In 2006 Earl won the Hillbilly 100 and followed it up the following weekend winning the prestigious World 100 at Eldora Speedway in one of the most exciting World 100's ever. Earl knows the competition will be even tougher this year as several of the top dirt late model drivers will be at the Hillbilly 100 this year with $25,000 on the line to the winner. "Winning the Hillbilly 100 was my biggest win ever then we went won the World 100 the following week and I couldn't have had a better week of racing than that last year. I'm excited about going back and defending my title and hopefully get that $25,000 again," stated Earl.
 
Earl and the team will only compete at the "Hillbilly 100" this weekend and head home to prepare for the World 100 at Eldora Speedway the following weekend September 7-8^th. As the defending champion of the World 100 Earl will be attending the Eldora Speedway press luncheon on Saturday. Earl will also be a part of the "Team Sunoco" promotion during the weekend festivities and will be a guest on the "Live" Sunoco Race Fuels World 100 pre-race show on Saturday from 3-5pm in front of the pond outside of turn 4.
