ABC’s of the Lucas Oil ASCS Patriots Rich Vleck, TULSA, Okla. (April 22, 2009)- Just days away from the 2009 Lucas Oil ASCS Patriot Season Opener at Black Rock, here is the series encyclopedia for the season. It is a new format this year, highlighting all the tracks, sponsors and drivers that are sure to make this season so special.

A- Adamczyk- Don is entering his 7th season in a Sprint. Albany-Saratoga- Patriots visit A-S for the first time ever on May 8. Arcade- Formerly known as Freedom, the Patriots will invade this year on July 24. ASI Racewear- Official Racewear of the Series for a third year. August- Joe Jr. goes into his sophomore year in 2009. A-Verdi Storage Containers- Sponsoring the popular King of Central New York Series for a third consecutive year. B- Barger- Justin was Black Rock Winner in 2008, will be around when available this year Barney- Jason has won at Canandaigua two years in a row, look out for him on King of CNY. Black Rock- Two races this year: Opener on May 1 and $4k-to-win event on August 7. Bonnell- Scott will be around more this year, running for a few mini series titles. Breen Brothers- Blake and Bobby both won last year, can they do it again this year? Brewerton- Second year in a row on schedule in mid July, this year on the 10th. Brockville- Returns to Patriot schedule with two full-point dates: July 18 and August 22. Broderick- Bubba, the 08 R.O.Y. seeks his first win in 09 while traveling from Connecticut. Button- Gordy pocketed a pair of wins last year and will be a factor again this year. C- Canandaigua- The longest running (and fastest) stop on tour, this year on June 13. Cayuga County- The tricky fairgrounds is sure to pack the stands and pits on July 12. Cornwall- Will host the Patriots for the first time ever on July 19. D- DeWick- Bruce is setting up for a Rookie of the Year run after feeling out his car in 08. Devendorf- Tim is also a Rookie of the Year contender when not running his mod lite. Drummond- Will host $6k-to-win Quebec Sprint Nationals on August 15. E- Emery- Doug is always a factor, especially when bonus money is up for grabs. Eriez- Two stops again this year, this time on Holiday Weekends: May 24 and Sept. 6. F- Fulton- Patriot invasion on August 8 at the facility that is getting an exciting facelift. Fink- Jared might not be running the whole tour, but he will be around plenty. G- Gater Racing News- sponsoring the Hard Charger of the Season for a fifth year. H- Howland- Bryan looks to become the first 3-time Patriot Champion. His focus is on wins and the Championship this year. Hebing- Won 3 races in 2008 and will contend in every race he enters this season. Hot Wings TV- Will put four Patriot races on television in New York. Humberstone- Rain cancelled it’s race last year, will try again on August 30. I- Insigner Race Fuels- R.O.Y. Sponsor for second straight year, also NY Nationals sponsor at Black Rock J- Jonathan- Derek is committed to the entire Patriot tour in 2009 and will be a factor K- Kelly- Tim always does well when running with the Patriots. King of- mini series in Central NY, S. Tier, St. Lawrence, OH/PA and Golden Horseshoe have added $10,000 to 2009 point fund. Knab- Brad has already started his season, which will include plenty of Patriot shows. Kreutter- Scott will be able to make the season opener fully prepared setting him up for a Championship run. L- Lewis- Trevor won the Apple Fest Nat’s last year. Will be at plenty of shows again in 09. Lucas Oil Products- Title sponsor of the Patriots this year, will help to boost purses, car counts, and overall exposure of the series. M- Merrittville- Rain last year in May, this year will host a Patriot stop on August 1. Moffit- Kyle was a strong 8th in points last year, can definitely move that up to Top-5. Mott- Shawn is a second-generation shoe who has moved to sprints for 2009. Muhleisen- Chris was 3rd in points in 08 and is running more races at his best tracks in 2009. N- National Parts Peddler- Heat race sponsor for third straight year. Newton- T.J. and team have sights set on a full assault of Patriot tour. Noto- Andy is another R.O.Y. contender after working out bugs in 2008. O- Ohsweken- Hosts Northern Summer Nats on July 3 and Patriot show on August 14. P- PJ Motorsports- Sponsorsing King of Southern Tier for first time. Preston- Ray was injured for much of 2008 and should make a nice comeback in 09. Q- Quackenbush- Geoff will be around when available with new black paint scheme. Quebec- Patriots invade this province for first time in August with Drummond event. R- Riverside Bar and Grill- Title Sponsor of King of the St. Lawrence Series. Rookies- DeWick, Devendorf, Mott and Noto amongst those vying for honors. S- Schuyler- John won at Eriez last year and will be at most of the Patriot events this year. Sharon- A pair of Holiday Bonus Events at the historic facility on May 23 and Sept. 5. Shuttleworth- Robbie will run the full tour while Uncle Chris will also be around. Simulator- Quicktime Sprint Car Simulator will be at most of Patriots shows in 2009. Stateline- Two events at the tight 1/3-mile on June 20 and July 25. Stelter- Mike was 12th in 2008 points and is getting closer to his first Patriot win. Suprick- George was CCFS winner in 08. 04 Champ will be around whenever possible. T- Troutman- Gary is completely ready for entire tour and a shot at the title. U- Unknown- How will new passing points system effect Patriot events in 2009? V- VanDusen- Jeff will be seen on Patriot Tour plenty this year driving for Guy Howie. W- Warner- Brandon will be seen more in his sophomore season running 360’s. Wickham- Dave again to be Patriot Staple, with Tommy also to be around. Wilson- Rick will be the highlight of Northern Patriot shows along with son, Kyle and Daughter, April. Woodhull- One of the most unique stops on tour takes place this year on May 30. X- Xtra Money- Races paying $9k, $6k, $4k, $3k, and $2k to win highlight a tour that will now pay at least $1,750-to-win each race. Y- Yonge- Lance will be a factor for wins whenever he pulls in the pits. Z- Zemken- Jessica will likely be the fan favorite at Albany-Saratoga. Zimbardi- Jared has finished Championship Runner-Up the last two years. Definitely has the ability to move up one spot this season.
