st in

Grounds Flower Building.Kellie Sears
and the Sears Motorsports Team 20x approached Black Swamp Media Group with the
idea lat fall and the two groups put together a “Chili Team” to make the idea a
reality.This event will promote local
racing charities as well as the F.A.S.T. (Fremont/Attica Sprint Title) point
fund for the 2009 season.
“When Kellie came to me with this idea last fall, I thought
this could be something we can do to promote local racing and help several
people at the same time,” said event co-organizer Bryan Autullo.“With the great racing charities we have
right here in our own back yard, this just seemed like a great idea.It will also help our newly formed F.A.S.T.
Championship point fund grow into something bigger and better. They do something like this in
Central PA every year and it has grown into a huge event.”
The proceeds from the event will be distributed between the
Hoserville Ohio Injured Drivers Fund and the F.A.S.T. organization. The BK Sears Team 20x will be on hand selling
tickets for their pedal car raffle – a replica of their #20x sprint car – that
will go to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This was a successful campaign in 2008, and they have continued their
efforts into 2009.
Racer’s Racing for a Cure will also be on hand selling
t-shirts to benefit cancer research.“This is the family of Alex Burkett who was a big supporter of local
racing before he lost his fight with pancreatic cancer. We all know someone who has lost that fight
and I hope everyone supports their cause,” added Autullo.
In addition to the Chili Challenge, a
Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament is also
being held in conjunction with this event.Hoserville
