Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series At a Glance: Clay County Fair Speedway, U.S. 36 Raceway, Heartland Park Topeka & Lucas Oil Speedway

WHAT * Following the conclusion of the 2008 Gold Rush Tour for the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, which saw the series compete seven times in an eight-day period at four different tracks in three states, the teams will return to the Midwest this week for a stretch of four races in five days, beginning at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa on Wednesday, September 10. The series then moves on to the blazing fast high banks of U.S. 36 Raceway on Friday, September 12 for the Missouri High-Banked Nationals, an event which were postponed by rain in the spring. The always racy Heartland Park Topeka in Kansas awaits the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Saturday, September 13. The weekend will wrap up with the series inaugural visit to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri for a full night of racing at the state-of-the-art facility. WHEN * On Wednesday, September 10 at Clay County Fair Speedway, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central and hot laps are set tentatively for 6 p.m. Central.
* On Friday, September 12 at U.S. 36 Raceway, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Central, with the Grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central and hot laps are tentatively set for 6:30 p.m. Central.
* On Saturday, September 13 at Heartland Park Topeka, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central, with hot laps tentatively set for 6:30 p.m. Central.
* On Sunday, September 14 at Lucas Oil Speedway, the pit gates will open at 4 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 5 p.m. Central, with racing set for 7 p.m. Central.
WHERE * Clay County Fair Speedway is located in Spencer, Iowa. Travel four blocks west of U.S. 71 on 18th St. to the Clay County Fairground, on the North edge of Spencer.
* U.S. 36 Raceway is located in Osborn, Missouri. From I-35, travel on U.S. 36 West approx. 7 miles and turn North on State Route 33 and the track will be on the right.
* Heartland Park is located in Topeka, Kansas. Travel 3.9 Miles south of I-335 (Kansas Turnpike) on Topeka Avenue.
* Lucas Oil Speedway is located in Wheatland, Missouri. Travel 0.2 miles south of U.S. 54 on State Road 83.
TICKETS * On Wednesday, September 10 at Clay County Fair Speedway, adult general admission tickets will be $30, with tickets for children ages 12-under $15. Reserved tickets will be $35. Pit combos will also be available which include a reserved ticket and pit pass for $55. For tickets call 763-389-9717.
* On Friday, September 12 at U.S. 36 Raceway, seats in the Main grandstand - Sections A-B-C-D Rows - 20 & 21, will be $40 (Includes pit pass/combo), with seats in Rows - 6 thru 19 $35 and seats in Rows - 1 thru 5 $30. Reserved tickets for children 12-under will be $15. Tickets in the Top Bleachers- Sections AA - BB - CC will be $32 for adults and $15 for kids 12-under. Pit Pass combos will also be available for $38 in advance and $40 the day of the race.
