World of Outlaws Championship Points Through July 11

Lima, OH—July 12, 2007--By: Tony Veneziano, WoO Sprint Series PR Director

After a sixth-place finish on Wednesday night in the Fram Autolite Brad Doty Classic Presented by National Interstate Insurance, Donny Schatz extended his lead in the World of Outlaws championship standings to 84 points over Joey Saldana, who finished ninth in the event.

Danny Lasoski remained third in points after earning his 31st Top-10 finish of the season on Wednesday night. Jason Meyers used a third-place finish to move into the fourth spot in points, with Daryn Pittman just eight markers behind him.

The rest of the Top-10 is: Steve Kinser, Craig Dollansky, Paul McMahan, Jason Solwold and Jac Haudenschild, who earned his second A-Feature win of the season on Wednesday night in the Brad Doty Classic.

Also picking up a position in the standings was rookie Chad Hillier, who moved into the 18th spot in the championship points and remains second to Kerry Madsen in the battle for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award.

The World of Outlaws return to action on Friday, July 13 with the Knight Before the Kings Royal from Eldora Speedway, followed by the Kings Royal by Crown Royal on Saturday, July 14.
