Haven't posted for a while,
but..........
Posted by KOP on "USAC$$$" thread...... "OK, 2007 was
the first year of the $25 entry fee per race (more for the special events).
There were a total of 40 nights of racing, including prelims. To be
conservative, lets say car counts were 30 per night. Times $25 each, that's $750
per night. times 40, that's $30,000 the car owners paid in. The question is: Who
really added that $15,150? In "pre-entry fee" seasons, this wouldn't be a
question. Just something to ponder I guess."
Lets think about what KOP said, the car owners paid into
USAC's pocket $30,000 extra collectively to run last year and received
collectively $15,150 from USAC's pockets. Simple math $30,000 - $15,150 =
$14,850 net yield by USAC.

USAC Racing in general has estimated annual sales of
$860,000 for 17 employees. Wait 17 employees! I understand this is for Silver
Crown, Western, National, CRA, Midgets, you get the point....... $860,000 and
USAC gave $15,150 of $860,000, more simple math, 1.76% of their REPORTED annual
income, thanks guys, really feel the love.
Where is this money going? Insurance, "officials",
radios, regular payouts, you can fill in the other blanks yourself.
Should USAC post publicly their annual finances? If you
got nothing to hide then show it! Show one budget that includes all divisions broken out separately. Do you have this to show to the owners or drivers? Can you? I sure hope YOU (USAC) know where the money is really going. Now can you show it to the ones who matter?
Just to keep repeating other: Why doesn't Kevin Miller
fly out this weekend? Heck, enough USAC people flew to Vegas (cough cough all
expenses paid) for a USAC race. Fold up the budget, stick it in your pocket, and come kick rocks around with everybody this weekend.
Where has Jerry Coons been for the first races?
Probably spending so much time with his head up Kevin's a$$ he couldn't make it out here? Dude you even admitted it, you are getting bent over, likely
in more than one way!!!

Not me mate.
This sanctioning body stuff is all reasonably new to me. Where I am from there is one sanctioning body for all classes and almost all racetracks in the country.
I sure do miss the Saloon cars.

Silly me I forgot about the nice BBQ they did at practice at the Copper with a whole pig and lots of food for all .I sure owner and drivers would have missed this if money was put in driver/owner fund
I sure that BBQ cost a pretty penny!
When I have had parties catered the cost is 15.00 a person plus How many was at practice seemed pits full
